Mt Eliza Project

Mt Eliza Project

Intro

Steve and Niome engaged us to finish off a pool and backyard project. The areas needed to link together and include new turf and use of the back area of the yard. We came up with a solution for the area at the end of the yard that is now a well-used firepit area.

Style

We incorporated a newly installed concrete pool into a deck area while updating some of the original garden beds so it flowed into the alfresco area at the back of the house. Spotted gum timber was used for the deck, stairs and to re-clad existing retaining walls. New turf was installed with bluestone steppers leading to the fire-pit area.
The lighting around the pool gives access at night, the pool becomes a feature of its own at night.

A shower was installed at the side of the house. The shower base was plumbed into existing stormwater to eliminate any overflow. An OB timber feature screen was installed against the existing boundary fence, the same timber was used to highlight the shower. We increased the height of the OB pool screen and installed glass fencing to pass pool fencing regulations. Lighting this area creates a feature at night.

Challenge

Pool fencing compliance is complicated. It requires careful thought on where the pool is located to ensure there are no climbable zones outside and inside the pool area.

Champagne service

With all our projects we take care in protecting driveways and existing surfaces to ensure no damage during the construction. All surfaces were washed and cleaned ready for our owners to enjoy.
